Ask Everafter
Ha.Ha…Ha…Sorry. (I’m sick excuse my weirdness)

So I’ve been dead, away from the computer whatever. Freaking college suddenly went haywire and I have had NO time on the computer not even time to write! Sheesh. So now that midterms and that godforsaken project is over with I have a couple minutes before NaNoWriMo sucks me back in. I figured I’d make a quick update on Everafter.

I originally had the idea that Ever would be a cupid, which would be very fun, but better for a written story than a comic really.

So I have changed her special talent.

She’s now a writer who specializes in romance writing. (Thats not to say she only writes those smutty romance books but there is always some sort of romance in her stories)  But her main day job has stayed the same. She’s still going to be a wedding planner. So I had to scrap the original “how’d you get your cutie mark?” story and I’m remaking it for this one.

So sorry peoples.

((YOU’RE BACK!♥))

Eep~! Yes. I am! My mod has been so busy with college starting back up and taking five classes…one being a language and moving and getting a new job all within a month or so of each other. @_@

While she was doing that I went on vacation. ^_^ HI THOUGH! I’ve missed you~!

The lovely pony with me is Lexi~!

Mod: Sorry, it’s sorta goofy but I’m practicing in flash at the moment so it’s not perfect. :P (I still cant seem to export the vectors! It keeps trying to export as JPGS)

Issues

MOD:

So I’ve been trying to catch up on my questions and it was going reallllyyy well…until.. Well until I tried to export the images from flash, or a gif or ANYTHING from flash and it turned out horribly grainy, or the words disappeared.

[sigh] So now I’m lost. I’ve tried a lot of crap to get this to work but noooooo. It refuses. :( Anyone have any ideas?

:/

Don’t worry Chocopony, you’re not the only one without a perfect match.

;n; at least you’re alive! I will never find my very special somepony((Im a foverer alone too ))

You know, you’d think a pony who’s special talent is finding people’s one true love, or at least getting them into some sort of relationship, would have a one true love…[sigh]

Writing well takes as much practice as drawing well, and poor writing is just as obvious as poor drawing skills. A blog doesn’t need pictures of its characters to have a good story with an interesting plot. It isn’t fair to assume they’re only text because the mod can’t draw. Some people prefer to write.

It is unfortunately not just the case with blogs. In general, every medium is preferred to text, which leaves those of us who paint with phrases rather than pigments pretty much ignored.
Prose pieces require and actual commitment, you have to read and create the picture in your head. Drawn blogs, the picture is already there in front of you, you can just look at it and move on. And unfortunately, there is a rampant spread of laziness, not of the body, not even the mind, but of the imagination. Words hold far more power in the mind than pictures, but people simply don’t want to take the time.
A good writer can take you on a journey, where you feel as if you are part of the experience, because, in a way, you are. A writer only does about half the work, maximum. The left is up for the reader to do. And the sad nature of this website is, that you must have art and it must be either cute or good. If it’s funny or the character is well-developed, that is simply a nice bonus.

VERY OC/MOD: As a writer, first an for most, this is SO FREAKING TRUE. I thought of making Everafter a writing blog, but quickly realized it would vanish into nothingness (sorta like how it is now, only because I’ve been away for a while). It makes me quite sad, I don’t have awesome drawing skills, I can paint OKAYish but I don’t have the money (or time) to paint everything. :/ I hope that I can combine my love of writing with what little vectoring I can do and still entertain followers.

I AM SO SORRY!

Mod post:

I am, so super, duper sorry. I abandoned this recently because of the move to a new apartment and the fact that I started my job all within the same week. T-T Everything got so messed up.

I lost my laptop for a couple days during the move and then I couldn’t find my charger (they somehow got separated) I’ve been so pony, tumblr and writing deprived I thought I was going to lose my mind! T-T

Well, I am back now. I’m gonna try and catch up on everything.

I AM SO SORRY FILM CUT! I stood you up. :( Please forgive me!
